Presentation description:

We know that breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States. We know that 1 woman in 8 will develop some form of breast cancer over her lifetime. We know that keeping up with regular screenings and mammograms can make all the difference in detecting cancer. We know men can also get breast cancer. And, we also know the importance of self-breast exams. So, why do we need a webinar?

The truth is, while we know a lot about breast cancer prevention, it’s what we don’t know that can increase our chances of getting breast cancer. Sign up to learn what puts you at risk for developing breast cancer, the facts behind the disease and genetics, treatment options available for breast cancer, and how to lower your chances of getting the disease.

Session participants will understand:

  • Who’s getting breast cancer?
  • Incidence, mortality and prevalence rates in Arizona
  • What to expect from mammography and breast screening
  • Risks for developing breast cancer and how to lower them
  • Prevention, diagnosis and treatment
