Lung Cancer Facts- Risk Factors, Symptoms and Treatment

Lung cancer claims more lives than any other cancer type. It accounts for about 2.5 times as many deaths in men than prostate cancer and 1.5 times as many deaths in women than breast cancer. Smoking or secondhand smoke are by far the leading causes, but there could be other causes as well. Unfortunately, many learn about lung cancer too late; however, with workplace education, together we can make a difference. Learn about lung cancer risk factors and available treatment options.

Dr. Jasmine Huang will share facts about lung cancer including symptoms, screening and current treatment options. She will also share long-term health effects of the new vaping and e-cigarette trend prevalent among today’s youth.

With Americans spending more than half of their time at work, the workplace is probably the best environment to educate and screen individuals for lung cancer. Learn about the disease and ways to support women and men fighting lung cancer.

Session participants will learn about:

  • Lung Cancer Facts – risk factors, symptoms, detection and treatment
  • Review options and cost for lung cancer screening
  • E-cigarettes, vaping, and other trends affecting lung health
