Presenter: Matthew Wekell
Matthew Wekell is a registered nurse serving in Care coordination/Case management for the last several years at Dignity Health. A graduate of Grand Canyon University with a nursing degree, he went on to complete his MBA at Arizona State University WPCarey School of Business with an emphasis in Health Sectors Management and Leadership. He currently serves as the Director of Care Coordination at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert Arizona and previously was at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is case management certified and currently sits on the Arizona Case Management Board (ACMA) Arizona Board as the acting Secretary.
He also leads the Care Coordination Team at Mercy Gilbert with a passion for increasing the connectedness of hospitals to the community for a better quality of life, improved access, and serving the underserved and homeless.
