What is Precision Medicine? Is It the Cure to Cancer Therapy?

Over the last 10 years cancer treatment has improved dramatically with the introduction of concepts such as precision medicine. Thanks to this new revolutionary approach to treatment, cancer patients can now get treatment that is tailored their tumor’s specific gene mutations, which ultimately results in potentially better outcomes. If treatment can be tailored, what does this mean for the disease, diagnosis and treatment for individual cancer patients?

Come learn about the new and better approaches to cancer treatment through precision medicine. Dr. Wang will share actual patient cases where this form of therapy was used and the outcomes.

Session participants will learn about:

  • What precision medicine or personalized cancer treatment means
  • When it is best to use precision medicine and for what cancer types
  • Where individualized, precision medicine is taking cancer treatment overall, and how to best prepare for this new form of advanced therapy
