Thanks to this new revolutionary approach to treatment, cancer patients can now get treatment that is tailored their tumor’s specific gene mutations, which ultimately results in potentially better outcomes. Jue Wang, MD, FACP, is the Section Leader of the Genitourinary Oncology Division at the University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Wang is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Wang’s expertise includes the treatment of genitourinary tumors, which includes cancers of the urinary tract and male genital tract, including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, urethral and penile cancer. He is a known expert and research in the field of precision medicine and precision oncology. He has published extensively and serves as a chief editor of several academic journals.
He has also done extensive work and research on improving the effectiveness of cancer treatment through genomic-guided precision medicine. He is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Society of Gastrointestinal Oncology, International Society of Geriatric Oncology, the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and is a Professor of Medicine and Interdisciplinary Oncology at the University of Arizona, and Creighton School of Medicine.
